Today’s challenges have put us under fire. Being under fire can be daunting and intimidating. I know; I’ve been there…and I learned from it. That’s why I started this blog, to share with you the lessons I have taken with me during the 35+ years I spent in the business world both as a senior corporate officer and in my time working with executives and entrepreneurs.
Just like the soldiers in the trenches, you must always be prepared for what you might face over the next hill or on the horizon. To be successful and to survive, those soldiers knew that they must keep moving forward facing risk after risk to achieve their desired objective.
The “trenches” gave them temporary protection to think and to plan their next move forward. To think about what they learned that got them to that point and how they can use that knowledge to get to their next goal. This approach is very much applicable in today’s business climate – it is challenging but yet dangerous. Success belongs to those who see each challenge as an opportunity. Success also belongs to those who use the trenches as a staging ground to moving forward regardless of the risks.
The trenches can be a scary place but with the help of my tips, you can beat any challenge you face. Tips from the Trenches are written to help you move forward; the lessons are simple but the impact can be as significant as you want it to be.
